  The staff at Yeovil are really friendly and try to be helpful. One question is, why does the store have a very expensive bed comfort testing unit, but do not use it??? My very poor review is with Bensons for beds Customer service. If you have no problem with the goods purchased, then all is well. My wife and I purchased a Grandeur super king zip and link bed. After making the bed for the first time, we were shocked to see how both mattress dipped badly along the centre length of each mattress. It looked decidedly like the bed was very well used and second hand. We had not even slept on it. A decision was made to try it. 4 days later, we complained to the store who advised us to contact customer services team. 3 weeks later they sent FIRA to us. The inspector said"the bed does not look good. It is on the maximum settlement of 35mm which is within our guidlines". That was that basically. After 8 months of frustration, we have been offered an alternative bed FOC. The bed is a cancellation order and is in a Tewkesbury warehouse. We have asked to visit the warehouse to try the bed. "Can't do that sir. We will deliver the bed to you and if you do not find it comfortable there will be a charge of £760.00 for us to cancel the order and collect the bed" Mmmm, that's not a great situation. Interestingly, FIRA a £20 million turnover company who inspect furniture are paid for by furniture manufacturers, wholesalers and distributors. They only get paid if they find against the customer!! They have massively cut down returns to the manufacturer. Their technical data comes from the manufacturers and not the National Bed Federation as Bensons suggest. FIRA will not release the data on how they arrive at their findings. Another brick wall!!!!. The furniture ombudsman are also paid for by the same people. HOW CAN THESE COMPANIES CLAIM TO BE INDEPENDENT? The whole furniture industry is run with no truly independent judicator. My advise is, DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT and if you have a problem with Bensons for beds, then you are in for a very long haul of frustration and costs. To me, they are modern day pirates who hide behind a very well put together consortium and wording. BEWARE.
